Mr. Neitzel was born in Kiel, Germany and came to the United States at age 4. He was raised in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area. He received an appointment and attended the United States Naval Academy from 1973 to 1975. He graduated from the American University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in accounting. He has been a resident of Pompano Beach, Florida since 1995.
His work experience includes various accounting positions in the private sector and currently is involved in tax return preparation and planning for individuals, trusts, estates, businesses and not-for-profit organizations as well as accounting and auditing for Common Interest Realty Associations. He was previously employed as a wealth manager for a financial planning firm and his responsibilities included comprehensive financial planning for clients, investment management and portfolio design.
In addition to licenses as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP), he holds the designation of Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC). He previously held various security licenses and currently holds state of Florida health, life, and variable annuity licenses.
Mr. Neitzel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
